The Speaker of Parliament Discusses Bilateral Relations And Regional Developments With The Iranian Ambassador

Baghdad / NINA /-Speaker of the Council of Representatives Haibat Al-Halbousi discussed bilateral relations and regional developments with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq, Mohammad Kazem Al-Sadeq.

According to a statement issued by Al-Halbousi’s media office, the Speaker received the Iranian ambassador on Wednesday at the headquarters of Taqadum Party in Baghdad.

The statement added that Ambassador Al-Sadeq extended his congratulations to Al-Halbousi at the beginning of the meeting on the completion of the initial constitutional procedures and his election as Speaker of Parliament.

The meeting also addressed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, reviewed regional developments, and discussed a number of issues of mutual interest./ End
