Kyrgyzstan names swimmer Denis Petrashov Athlete of Year

Bishkek, Dec. 31, 2025. /Kabar/. Swimmer Denis Petrashov has been named Athlete of the Year for 2025, the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports reported.

According to the agency, the results of the sporting year were summarized yesterday and the country's best athletes were named. Denis Petrashov won the "Discovery of the Year" award in the men's Olympic sports category.

Winners and runners-up in a number of other categories were also announced at the final event.
