Interior Minister receives Kuwaiti Coast Guard Director General

Manama, Dec. 28 (BNA): General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, received an invitation from Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the State of Kuwait, to visit Kuwait in the coming period.

The invitation was delivered by Commodore Sheikh Mubarak Ali Al Sabah, Director-General of the Coast Guard at Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior.

Lieutenant General Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa was present.

Gen. Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah commended the deep-rooted ties between the two countries. He highlighted the importance of security cooperation and coordination, as well as strengthening the exchange of expertise and best practices to safeguard security and enhance stability.

The Minister also emphasised the importance of reinforcing joint efforts between the coast guard entities of the two countries to enhance security and protect maritime safety.

Several issues and approaches to enhancing cooperation, coordination, and the development of joint working mechanisms were also discussed during the meeting.
