Scientific Research Successes Made in DPRK

 Pyongyang, December 28 (KCNA) -- Members of the February 17 Shock Brigade of Scientists and Technicians dispatched to different parts of the DPRK have made scientific research achievements conducive to implementing the decisions of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Those members active at the non-permanent central committee for promoting Regional Development 20×10 Policy succeeded in the industrial production of a wheat flour gluten reinforcing agent and provided a technological guarantee for increasing the sugar output while halving the consumption of electricity.
In cooperation with technicians at the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex, the members built a system for rational control over the heat exchange system of an oxygen separator and developed an additive necessary for the production of refractory so as to contribute to boosting the daily production of pig iron.
They also helped the complex to develop and install equipment protection devices capable of ensuring the stability of power transmission system despite the unfavorable climatic conditions.
At the Textile Industry Management Bureau under the Ministry of Light Industry, scientists and technicians from Kim Il Sung University, Hamhung University of Chemical Engineering and Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry made big strides in the research for developing and perfecting advanced dyeing technology after establishing a analysis system of dyes.
Those members active at the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports and the Pyongyang Dental Hygiene Products Factory completed their research assignments and solved technical problems arising in increasing the variety of dental hygiene goods and improving their quality. -0-
