KFCRIS Organizes Event on Cultural Renewal in Japan

Riyadh, December 25, 2025, SPA -- The King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS) organized a cultural event yesterday, attended by Chairman of KFCRIS’s Board of Directors Prince Turki bin Faisal.
The event featured Japanese researcher Dr. Naoki Yamamoto, who delivered a lecture on pathways to cultural renewal in Japan and led a practical workshop on Japanese tea preparation. In his lecture, Dr. Yamamoto explored the concepts of courage and chivalry in Islamic heritage and compared them to the principles of chivalry in samurai culture, viewing both as value systems that share ideals of bravery, discipline, and generosity.
The event also included a workshop on Japanese tea preparation, presented by Dr. Yamamoto, to introduce a traditional practice that has been an essential part of Japanese cultural identity for centuries.
The activity is part of KFCRIS’s efforts to promote cultural dialogue, host specialized researchers, and offer in-depth perspectives on shared human heritage.
