OIC IPHRC Concludes 26th Session Focusing on Youth Development and Human Rights

   Jeddah, December 16, 2025, SPA -- The 26th Ordinary Open Session of the Independent Permanent Human Rights Commission (IPHRC) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) concluded yesterday at the OIC General Secretariat in Jeddah, focusing on youth development in member states and examining related challenges and opportunities from a human rights perspective.
   The IPHRC session included high-level dialogues with representatives from member states and various national, regional, and international institutions. Discussions centered on enhancing youth engagement in humanitarian efforts, peacebuilding, and development.
   Participants examined the roles of national human rights institutions and the media in promoting youth rights and contributions to stability. They also explored potential partnerships to boost youth participation across various sectors.
   Closed meetings for commission members will continue until December 18 to finalize agenda items and discussions.
