Iraq And France Discuss Joint Cooperation In Military And Security Fields

Baghdad / NINA /- The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Engineer Shwan Madhhar Ali Rawandozi, received on Tuesday the French Ambassador to Iraq, Patrick Durel accompanied by the military attaché.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Defense, the meeting reviewed prospects for bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries, particularly in the military and security fields, in addition to discussing a number of issues of mutual interest, in a manner that contributes to strengthening security and stability.
The Secretary-General affirmed the Ministry of Defense’s keenness to develop cooperative relations with friendly countries and to enhance partnerships in a way that serves mutual interests.
For his part, the French Ambassador expressed his country’s appreciation for the relations with Iraq, stressing France’s continued support for the efforts of the Ministry of Defense in relevant fields./ End
