Youth Minister participates in Misk Global Forum 2025 in Riyadh

Riyadh, Nov. 20 (BNA): Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, participated in the main panel discussion at the Misk Global Forum 2025 held in Saudi Arabia, under the theme that centres on empowering youth to create their own stories, solutions, and initiatives. She reviewed key milestones in her career and shared experiences that have shaped her leadership vision and practical expertise.

Minister Tawfiqi emphasised that Bahrain has successfully established an advanced youth system, under the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the solid foundations and forward-looking approach set by His Majesty, which created an ideal environment for youth and enabled them to turn challenges into opportunities and achievements.

She explained that this national approach has been further strengthened under the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who has made investing in youth a central pillar of the government’s agenda, alongside the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, which have contributed to a significant advancement in youth empowerment and enhancing their active role across various domains.

The minister spoke about the rapid development of the youth system in Bahrain, noting that the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 provides a strategic framework focusing on investing in the youth's potential and providing opportunities. She highlighted that national efforts have established an approach based on innovation, capacity-building, and enabling youth to lead future initiatives.

She noted that the Ministry follows a methodology for discovering, developing, and showcasing talents using scientific tools and advanced analytical techniques. She added that youth empowerment centres, youth organisations, and model centres form an integrated system that works throughout the year to develop skills and nurture national talent.

Minister Tawfiqi also noted the initiatives that provide practical empowerment opportunities, including programmes offering real-world experiences in technology, science, arts, media, entrepreneurship, sports, and health, enabling youth to explore their abilities and define their future career paths.

On enhancing youth participation in decision-making, the Minister emphasised that the National Strategy for Youth Empowerment focuses on providing institutional channels for effective contribution, through specialised advisory committees, open dialogue initiatives, youth representation in international forums, and regular monitoring tools to assess youth aspirations and support their involvement in shaping national programmes.

Minister Tawfiqi emphasised the importance of self-belief and personal development, urging youth to engage with those who inspire and support their ambitions, and to continue striving to make an impact that reflects their aspirations and realises their potential.
