Representatives Bureau emphasises GCC parliamentary support for Bahrain’s hosting of 46th Gulf Summit

Manama, Nov. 19 (BNA):  The Bureau of the Council of Representatives held its eighth meeting, chaired by Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives.

The Bureau extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the successful convening of the 19th meeting of GCC parliamentary speakers recently hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Bureau emphasised GCC parliamentary support for the 46th GCC Summit, which the Kingdom will host in December under the presidency of His Majesty the King.

It commended the directives of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in advancing cooperation with the legislative authority, supporting economic growth, creating quality job opportunities, improving living standards, enhancing public services, and advancing investment and development projects.

The meeting reviewed the agenda of upcoming council sessions and several matters related to parliamentary work.

Abdulnabi Salman Ahmed, First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives; Ahmed Abdulwahid Qarata, Second Deputy Speaker; Mahmood Mirza Fardan, Chairman of the Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee; Ahmed Sabah Al Salloom, Chairman of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee; Mamdooh Abbas Al Saleh, Chairman of the Services Committee; Mohammed Moosa Al Balooshi, Chairman of the Public Utilities and Environment Committee; Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary General of the Council of Representatives; and Saleh Ibrahim Al Ghathith, Head of the Council’s Legal Advisory Office, attended the meeting.
