Kim Jong Thae Electric Locomotive Complex Marks Its 80th Founding Anniversary

 Pyongyang, November 10 (KCNA) -- The Kim Jong Thae Electric Locomotive Complex in the DPRK marked its 80th founding anniversary.
President Kim Il Sung, who had paid deep attention to the work of the complex since he made a speech before the workers of the then Pyongyang Railway Factory on November 10, 1945, named the first electric locomotive made by its workers and reposed deep trust in them so that they display the spirit and mettle of the railway working class in the vanguard of socialist construction.
Chairman Kim Jong Il made sure that the significant day when the President gave the first field guidance at the factory was instituted as the founding day of the complex, and led it to thoroughly implement the Workers' Party of Korea's policy on railway transport.
Thanks to the wise leadership and warm love of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the complex has developed into a leading rolling stock producer and parent enterprise playing an important role in the rail transport.
A commemorative meeting was held on Nov. 9.
Present there were Minister of Railways Kuk Myong Ho and officials and employees of the complex.
