PM Received A Phone Call From The British FM And Affirmed Iraq's Openness To All Areas of Cooperation

Baghdad / NINA /- Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received a phone call on Thursday from British Foreign Minister, Yvette Cooper, during which they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Iraq and the United Kingdom, and cooperation in the economic, investment, and development sectors.

The call addressed cooperation in the economic, trade, and infrastructure sectors, as well as activating bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding to enhance the partnership between the two countries and advance joint development and investment projects.

During the call, al-Sudani emphasized Iraq's openness to various areas of cooperation, noting the continuous improvement in the country's investment environment and the promising opportunities it offers to international companies to participate in major strategic projects currently underway.

For her part, the British Foreign Minister expressed her country's desire to expand cooperation with Iraq, praising the policies pursued by the Iraqi government to strengthen economic capabilities and achieve sustainable development, and affirming London's support for the reform and economic path currently being undertaken in Iraq.

 This contact comes within the framework of growing international interest in Iraq as a promising investment destination, and confirms the depth of Iraqi-British relations and the two sides’ endeavor to build economic and development partnerships that contribute to enhancing stability and growth in the country./ End
