Al-Araji Discusses With The US Chargé d'Affaires The Development Of Bilateral Relations, Partnership, And Cooperation Between The Two Sides

Baghdad / NINA /- National Security Adviser Qasim al-Araji received on Thursday the U.S. Embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires in Baghdad, Josh Harris, to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Iraq and the United States.

A statement from al-Araji’s media office said that the meeting focused on developing bilateral relations and partnership between Baghdad and Washington, as well as discussing issues of mutual interest, particularly the continued cooperation in combating terrorism.

During the meeting, al-Araji affirmed that the Iraqi government is committed to expanding its relations with the international community, emphasizing the importance of enhancing diplomatic channels and adopting constructive dialogue to resolve international issues. He noted that Iraq plays an active role in consolidating regional and global security and stability through a balanced and prudent policy adopted by the government in addressing sensitive political and security matters./ End
