Municipalities Minister receives WOAH Regional Representative

Manama, Oct. 21 (BNA): Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs, received Ahmed Al Majali, Regional Representative of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) for the Middle East, on the sidelines of the Middle East Regional Workshop organised by the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH), held in Bahrain from October 14–16 under the theme "Strengthening One Health Implementation through the Joint Plan of Action."

The minister affirmed Bahrain’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with the organisation to develop animal health and enhance joint efforts to combat transboundary diseases. He commended the role of WOAH in supporting regional efforts to promote the principles of health and food security.

For his part, Al Majali expressed his appreciation to the Kingdom for its outstanding hosting of the regional workshop, commending the cooperation that reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to advancing the One Health approach in the region.
