Council of Representatives Sec Gen participates in Association of Secretaries-General of Arab Parliaments

Geneva, Oct. 20 (BNA): Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary-General of the Council of Representatives, participated in the Association of Secretaries-General of Parliaments held during the 151st Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly in Geneva.


 

Al Buainain announced that the Council earned the ISO 42001 certification for artificial intelligence management in parliamentary work, becoming one of the first legislatures in the region to achieve it.


 

He said the Secretariat-General also received the ISO 14001:2015 certification for environmental management, reflecting its commitment to sustainability, resource efficiency, and environmental responsibility.


 

Al Buainain underlined that these achievements reflect the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as well as the directives of Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, to make the Council a model in governance, AI, and digital transformation.


 

He noted that the "Green Parliament" initiative integrates digital transformation and environmental management to build a smart, sustainable parliament aligned with global efforts to advance sustainable development and climate action.
