APA Vice President participates in 216th IPU Governing Council session, 151st IPU Assembly

Geneva, Oct. 20 (BNA): MP Ahmed Sabah Al Salloom, Vice President of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA), participated in the 216th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Governing Council and the 151st IPU General Assembly, held in Geneva, Switzerland.

Al Salloom said the participation of the APA in these international meetings reflects Asian countries’ commitment to enhance cooperation and understanding among parliaments. He noted the constructive exchange of experiences between parliamentarians from different countries, which helps advance legislative and oversight work, support democratic values, and promote dialogue as a means to address regional and international issues.

He commended the active role of Asian parliaments in building bridges of communication and cooperation with parliaments worldwide to support shared development goals.
