Forum of Young Parliamentarians Bureau elects MP Hassan Ibrahim Hassan as bureau representative

Geneva, Oct. 20 (BNA): The Forum of Young Parliamentarians Bureau elected MP Hassan Ibrahim Hassan as its representative to attend the Standing Committee on Sustainable Development meeting and as rapporteur for the draft resolution to be discussed by the Standing Committee on Peace and International Security during the 152nd Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly, to be held in the Republic of Türkiye in April 2026.

This came during his participation in the Forum’s Bureau meeting held as part of the 151st IPU Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland.

MP Hassan expressed pride in representing the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting that the appointment reflects Bahrain’s commitment to empowering youth and enhancing their participation in parliamentary work and decision-making.

He highlighted the Kingdom's integrated approach to building youth capacities and enhancing coordination with international institutions. He was earlier elected as the Arab Group’s representative to the Forum’s Bureau during the IPU’s 150th Assembly in Tashkent.
