Iraq, France Discuss Strengthening Military Cooperation

Baghdad / NINA /-Iraqi Army Chief of Staff, General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, met on Thursday in Baghdad with the French Deputy Chief of Staff and the French military attaché to discuss ways of strengthening military cooperation between the two countries.

Yarallah praised France’s logistical support and expertise provided through the NATO Mission in Iraq, stressing the Ministry of Defense’s commitment to advancing training mechanisms in cooperation with leading global military institutions, in line with modern developments.

For his part, the French Deputy Chief of Staff expressed his appreciation for the meeting and reaffirmed his country’s continued support for the Iraqi Armed Forces and their efforts in combating terrorism./ End
