Foreign Minister receives PCA Secretary-General

Manama, June 17 (BNA): Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, today received Dr. Marcin Czepelak, Secretary-General of the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA), accompanied by Professor Marike Paulsson, Secretary-General of the Bahrain Chamber for Dispute Resolution (BCDR), during his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The meeting reviewed the existing cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the PCA, and affirmed the important role played by both the PCA and BCDR in promoting the rule of law and advancing peaceful mechanisms for dispute resolution, in support of the international legal order.

Bahrain reiterated its support for the initiatives led by the PCA and BCDR aimed at strengthening international justice and advancing the resolution of disputes through peaceful means such as conciliation, arbitration, and mediation.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Yousef Abdulkarim Bucheeri, Director General of Legal Affairs and Human Rights at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
