Al-Hogail Heads Saudi Arabia's Delegation to GCC Ministers of Municipalities Meeting

      Kuwait City, May 16, 2025, SPA -- Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail headed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's delegation to the 28th meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministers of Municipal Affairs, which was held in Kuwait City.
   The meeting was chaired by the Kuwaiti Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Housing Affairs Eng. Abdullatif Al-Meshari and attended by the Assistant Secretary-General for Economic and Development Affairs at the General Secretariat of the GCC Khaled Ali Al-Sunaidi, and the ministers and officials from member states.
   Meeting participants discussed several important topics in the municipal field, most notably the follow-up to the implementation of previous Ministerial Council decisions, which included developing the urban environment, updating the GCC building code, and strengthening municipal legislation and oversight mechanisms.
   The meeting also reviewed joint GCC municipal action plan for the years 2024-2030, which aims to achieve sustainable urban development in GCC countries.
