Al Dana Drama Award 2025 announce deadline for entries

Manama, May 9 (BNA): The organising committee of the Al Dana Drama Award 2025 announced that the deadline for submissions to the award’s second edition will be midnight on Saturday, May 10, 2025. 

The award, organised by the Ministry of Information, will be held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC).

The committee called on production companies, satellite channels, digital platforms, and public and private entities holding rights to drama productions to take the opportunity to participate by submitting their entries via the award’s official website: http://www.mia.gov.bh.

The committee noted that the award includes ten competitive categories: Best Social Series, Best Comedy Series, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Rising Star, Best Original Score, Best Screenplay, Best Director, Best Child Actor, and Best Visual Effects. In addition, three awards will be decided by public vote: Best Series, Best Actor, and Best Actress.

The committee also said that a dedicated ceremony will be held under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad, following the evaluation of submissions by a panel of distinguished critics and specialists in Gulf drama.

Al Dana Drama Award serves as a leading platform for supporting innovation and enhancing the quality of drama production in the Gulf region. The award reflects the Kingdom of Bahrain’s commitment to advancing the artistic and cultural movement across the region.
