HM King congratulates Pope Leo XIV on election

Manama, May 8 (BNA): His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa sent a cable of congratulations to His Holiness Pope Robert Prevost (Leo XIV) on his election as the new Supreme Pontiff.

His Majesty wished the Pope success in his duties and commended the Vatican’s role in promoting interfaith and intercultural dialogue, advancing human fraternity and tolerance, and fostering coexistence among people of all backgrounds.

His Majesty emphasised the Kingdom of Bahrain’s keenness to further strengthen historical ties with the Vatican in support of love, harmony, peace, and global stability.
