The PM Stresses The Need To Continue Coordination And Joint Action To Support The Culture, Tourism, And Antiquities Sectors

Baghdad/NINA/-Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani stressed the need to continue coordination and joint action to support the culture, tourism, and antiquities sectors and highlight their vital role in societies. 

 

The Prime Minister's Media Office said in a statement that al-Sudani received Qatari Minister of Culture Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani on Thursday. The meeting discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance the exchange of expertise and experiences in the cultural field. Pointing to the development of relations between the two countries in various fields, including the cultural aspect

 

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of culture in development and strengthening national identity, as well as the role of various and mutual cultural events in strengthening communication between brotherly and friendly peoples. He praised the Iraqi Cultural Week held in Doha two months ago and directed the provision of all necessary facilities for holding the Qatari Cultural Week in Baghdad.

 

For his part, the Qatari Minister of Culture conveyed the greetings of the Emir of Qatar to al-Sudani, noting his country's keenness to strengthen joint cooperation with Iraq. He praised the Prime Minister's efforts in achieving comprehensive development and supporting culture, and stressed that the selection of Baghdad as the Arab Tourism Capital 2025 constitutes an important starting point for strengthening cultural cooperation./End
