Countdown Begins for the Launch of Two Satellites, “Hodhod” and “Kowsar”

The two satellites, “Hodhod” and “Kowsar,” designed and developed with the support of the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, will soon be launched into space to enhance space communications and the Internet of Things (IoT).
According to Mehr News Agency, quoting the Vice Presidency for Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy, the Kowsar satellite, which has been under development since 2019, is intended for remote sensing applications. Additionally, the Hodhod satellite, a result of the advanced technologies from Kowsar developed since 2022, will provide IoT services in space.
The launch of these two satellites marks the first step in creating the “Do-Nama” satellite constellation, comprising 200 satellites of the Hodhod and Kowsar types, which will enable comprehensive space-based monitoring and communications.
The Do-Nama constellation, integrating the Hodhod (IoT satellite) and Kowsar (imaging satellite), forms a unified system that offers a range of space-based services. One of the main applications of this constellation is to improve management and monitoring in the transportation sector.
This valuable achievement, which enhances Iran’s space capabilities, reflects the vision of the Supreme Leader, who emphasized that knowledge-based companies are the driving force of national development, capable of overcoming diverse challenges by relying on indigenous knowledge and technology.
