Japan, Indonesia Study Development Of Health Technology Business

JAKARTA, July 4 (Antara) - Health care company from Japan PHC Healthcare in cooperation with a number of Indonesian hospitals is studying business in development of healthcare technology software industry. "The world has expanded financial technology (Fintech). Now is the time to develop healthcare technology or Medtech," Director of Healthcare Information System of PHC Healthcare Takayuki Otsuka said here on Tuesday. PHC Healthcare offers development of software system in administration service that could cut the waiting time for patients. Under the system, patient will no longer has to come early morning or to queue to pick a registration form, Takayuki said. There would be a machine like ATM that could print registration administration and reference polyclinic integrated with National Health Insurance System (BPJS Kesehatan) card . The patients, therefore, need only to come to hospital with the Health BPJS card. PHC Healthcare already coordinated with the Health Ministry and Health BPJS to integrate data. Takayuki could not yet say in detail the amount of investment needed to develop the hospital software. Until now hospitals agreeing to cooperate with PHC Healthcare include RS Dharmais (National Cancer Center) and RS Umum Tangerang. Meanwhile, Chief Executive of RS Kanker Dharmais Abdul Kadir said the cooperation is to improve the service quality of hospitals to be competitive internationally. The new technology will improve efficiency in the provision of software infrastructure equipment, and reduce the need for human resources in administration. The waiting time would be cut to as short as 30 minutes from normally hours before the patient could have their turn for medical examination. In addition, the software system would protect the patients from "hacker" , and integration with the financial system will also facilitate process of administration .
