Salehi: NAM Determined To Resolve Palestine Issue

Tehran, Aug 30, IRNA – Iran’s Foreign Minister, Ali-Akbar Salehi, says NAM contribution to settlement of Syria crisis and Palestine issue are demand by majority of the members. Addressing a press conference, Salehi said under such conditions when the international institutions like the UN are dealing with Syria officials, it would not be right for the movement to distance itself from the issue. He said that Syria is a NAM member gripped with problems, so members should undertake management to ensure the least possible amount of harm to that member. Elsewhere in his address, Salehi said that more than 50 foreign ministers have addressed the meeting. Salehi also said that the members adopted final document draft with overwhelming majority of votes. He added that Palestine was the most important outcome of the session./end
