TAT's creative tourism campaign warmly welcomed by int'l travellers
BANGKOK, June 28 (TNA) - The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT)’s online creative tourism campaign, entitled "Discover the Other You", has drawn a positive response from international travellers, with its most popular activity found to be training on traditional Thai massage, follow by Thai cuisine and Thai boxing courses.
TAT Governor Surapol Savetseranee says that 10,979 international tourists from 119 countries have applied to join activities under the TAT's creative tourism campaign after the online campaign has been launched just over the past month, with three of them, including those from Croatia and Taiwan, having won their free week-long trips to Thailand.
Surapol revealed that a TAT promotional clip on its webpage, [discovertheotheryou.com], has also been visited by some 1.5 million hits with its digital brochure downloaded by over 3,700 people.
According to the TAT governor, the creative tourism is increasingly popular globally, as international tourists apparently want to gain "unforgettable learning and experiences" by participating in the special art-cum-culture-oriented activities introdueced by the TAT.
The TAT chief acknowledged that the online creative tourism campaign has become most popular among Australian, British, American, Indian and Singaporean travellers so far. (TNA)
