Lebanon FM To Visit Libya To Follow Up Imam Musa Sadr’s Case

Beirut, Jan 1, IRNA – Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansoor will pay a visit to Libya to follow up the case of Imam Musa Sadr. Mansoor will head a diplomatic and non-diplomatic delegation to Tripoli as his county's highest official to follow up the case closely. Imam Musa Sadr and his two companions were believed to have been kidnapped by Libyan dictator Gadhafi in 1978 in Tripoli. The Lebanese newspaper “al-Vela’” last Tuesday quoted some Libyan National Council members as saying Sadr died in his cell naturally in Tripoli's central prison. The paper added that Gadhafi ordered to keep the dead body of Sadr in a freezer at the prison, but now it has been transferred to an unknown place in a bid to cover up Colonel Gadhafi's crimes after the victory of people's revolution./end
