Greens Party co-chairman: a parliamentary committee should be set up to investigate Neo-Nazi murders

BERLIN (A.A) - December 15, 2011 - German Greens Party Co-chairman Cem Ozdemir said that an inquiry committee should be set up in the parliament to investigate Neo-Nazi killings of Turks. Releasing a statement on Thursday, Ozdemir said that establishing such a committee was very important to completely solve Neo-Nazi serial killings. Greens Party would follow this matter till the end, added Ozdemir. Eight Turks and a Greek national had been killed by Neo-Nazi terrorists in several attacks in the past ten years in Germany. A recent investigation involves a newly-discovered Neo-Nazi cell which is suspected of attacking and killing nearly ten immigrants over the last decade. The Neo-Nazi cell was discovered when the German police captured a woman wanted for an armed robbery and two men involved in the robbery killed themselves.  German police also recovered a hit-list of 88 people -- including two German politicians -- to be targeted during a search into the homes of suspected members of the Neo-Nazi gang. Earlier this month, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu visited Germany, held talks with German executives regarding the murders and the investigation, and visited families of Turks killed by Neo-Nazi terrorists.
