Qatar Participates In 4th Virtual Gulf Conference On Innovation, AI, Tech, And Business

Kuwait, June 20 (QNA) - The State of Qatar participated in the 4th virtual Gulf Conference to support the system of Innovation, Artificial Intelligence, Technology and Business, organized by the State of Kuwait, in the participation of 360 experts from Gulf Corporation Council countries and other Arab countries. In its opening session, the conference discussed global interest in advancing innovation and artificial intelligence, highlighting the huge investments being poured into it. Participants called for the promotion of digital literacy in Arab countries to keep individuals and digital companies in the Arab world up-to-date with world developments. In his speech during the conference, HE Sheikh Dr. Thani bin Ali bin Saud Al-Thani, board member of the Qatar International Centre for Conciliation and Arbitration (QICCA) noted the need to establish a specialized body concerned with accelerating the pace of digital transformation in all sectors in order to ensure a rise in the competitive productivity of all economic sectors, as well as to spread digital culture at the level of the individual and companies. His Excellency stressed the importance of preparing legal courts with the necessary infrastructure by providing them with the technical and technological capabilities to develop the judicial system as well as providing them with human capabilities able to manage the digital transition with the aim of speeding up completion of court cases and the facilitation of litigation procedures. Dr. Thani noted that in recent years rapid development in technologies, data connectivity, speed, freedom of circulation, in addition to the emergence of many applications that is significantly impacting interpersonal interactions and dealings, such as social media, e-commerce applications, service applications, among others. QICCA board member added that the State of Qatar has made unremitting efforts to create an environment compatible with the digital world, making use of applications and artificial intelligence.
