Premier holds online meeting with Ambassadors

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On Wednesday, the Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag held an online meeting with Ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions abroad. Ran for the first time, the online meeting attracted heads of 39 diplomatic missions in foreign countries. The online meeting also attracted representatives of wool and cashmere industries and designers. They said it is fully possible to support the cashmere industry when it is exporting one cashmere shirt at USD 51 because Mongolia has plenty of cashmere resources which can able us to produce 8-10 million shirts a year. They want to open the "Made in Mongolia" show rooms at Mongolian Embassies, to mediate the largest chain shops, and to distribute news and information to them about international exhibitions of techniques, technologies and imported products. It is possible to sell a unit of cashmere product at USD 500, but it is very important to improve the designs and advertisement, the designers said. The diplomats said that the Embassies do not have enough propaganda products, and asked the Premier to provide them with materials and textbooks in several languages with the latest information about Mongolian industries and tourism sector. In response, the Premier emphasized that the MONTSAME national news agency is able to prepare these advertisement materials in most popular languages based on its trained staffers and techniques, and expressed readiness to support this initiative. The Premier also said that the diplomatic mission will be assessed by their works such as protecting interests of Mongolians, augmenting the export of national products. and increasing the trade turnover with any country.
