Iran Seeks Peaceful Relations With World: Defense Min.

Tehran, Aug 13, IRNA – Iran seeks peaceful relations with the international community particularly the neighboring countries, Iranˈs Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan said on Tuesday. He made the remarks in his address to the annual gathering of Iranian ambassadors and diplomats abroad. Despite sanctions and pressures, Iran can achieve great successes and it is capable to thwart all types of threats, Dehqan added. He underlined that Iran has the upper hand in regional equations and has a realistic understanding of the regional security problems. He made clear that power of Iran and its allies limited the Zionist regimeˈs ambitions and its expansionist goals in the occupied territories. He underscored that the hegemonic governments have created the extremist groups including the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (known as Daesh) to provoke internal conflicts in the Muslim World./end
