Iran FM, ICRC President Confer On Syria, Libya

New York, Sept 24, IRNA – Iran's Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Peter Maurer held talks Sunday evening on the international and regional issues, including the latest developments in Syria and Libya. The two officials also reviewed the issue of abduction of the Iranians in both Libya and Syria and efforts to release them. The two further discussed promotion of bilateral cooperation in the humanitarian grounds. The ICRC president too praised Iran's significant role in humanitarian activities worldwide./end
