FM Rejects Alleged Seizure Of Iran Cargo Ship As AIPAC Propaganda

Tehran, March 6, IRNA – Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has rejected media reports on alleged seizure of an Iranian cargo ship as part of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) propaganda. He made the remarks in his twitter page on Thursday. Zarif termed the report of alleged seizure of Iran-made cargo as part of the AIPACˈs repeated propaganda against Tehran. Meanwhile, Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian categorically rejected the allegation by Zionist regime that Tel Aviv has intercepted a ship carrying Iranian mid-range missiles for the Palestinians. ˈThis allegation is merely based on repetitious and baseless fabrications of the Zionist media,ˈ the deputy foreign minister said. Earlier on Wednesday, military sources in Iran strongly dismissed the reports by the western and Zionist media alleging that the Zionist regime has intercepted a ship carrying Iranian mid-range missiles for the Palestinians. On Wednesday, some western and Zionist media outlets claimed that the Zionist regime’s naval forces have intercepted an Iranian arms vessel carrying medium-range missiles in the Red Sea. They further claimed that the shipment was headed for the Gaza Strip via Sudan. According to the public relations office of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), an informed source in the Iranian Armed Forces rejected the news reports about the shipment of Iran-made weapons as completely false./end
