Envoy Stresses Damascus Efforts For Release Of Kidnapped Iranians

Damascus, Jan 19, IRNA – Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Fayssal Mekdad stressed frank efforts by his country for release of seven Iranian engineers kidnapped in his country. In a meeting with Iran Ambassador to Syria Mohammad Reza Raouf Sheibani here on Thursday, Mekdad said that the Syrian Foreign Ministry was urgently following the case of the Iranians kidnapped by armed men. He further informed the ambassador of the latest security measures taken to get free the Iranian engineers who were working in a power plant near the city of Homs./end
