We will criticize Islamophobia, racism and discrimination, says PM Erdogan

ISTANBUL (A.A) - December 23, 2011 - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Friday that they would criticize Islamophobia, racism and discrimination. Speaking at a conference on "Change in Muslim Societies and Role of Women" in Istanbul, Erdogan said that the Muslims had values and experiences that could be a model to the whole humanity. Our religion Islam actually means 'peace'. As the members of this peaceful religion, we have to be a model to the whole humanity, Erdogan stressed. We need to raise our voice for girls massacred and pregnant women killed and women who jump on suicide bombers to protect their children in places such as Siirt, Batman, Bitlis, Ankara and Istanbul, Erdogan said. Touching on an Armenian resolution adopted at the French Parliament on Thursday, Erdogan said that they took certain decisions in reaction to the resolution which was racist and anti-Islam. As long as the attitude in France against the Turks continue, we will take the necessary steps and implement them, Erdogan said.
