Turkey responses severely to French bill

ANKARA (A.A) T urkish prime minister has said Turkey had decided to recall its ambassador in Paris as part of the retaliation to French parliament's approval of a bill making it a crime in France to deny that Ottoman era incidents of 1915. Erdogan said the bill was racist, discriminatory and xenophobic, adding Turkey had also decided to cancel all political, military and economic meetings with France as well as all joint military maneuvers and all permissions for French military planes to use Turkish airspace as well as their landing and taking off and military ships to dock in Turkey. ''France's decision on Thursday a misfortune'' Erdogan on Thursday described the adoption of an Armenian resolution by the French Parliament as "a misfortune". Speaking to reporters at a joint press conference with the Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovych in Ankara, Erdogan said that the Armenian resolution criminalizing the rejection of Armenian allegations pertaining to the incidents of 1915 was adopted at the French Parliament despite all warnings, constructive criticisms and suggestions made by Turkey. The adoption of the resolution at the French Parliament on Thursday will open serious wounds in Turkish-French relations that will be tough to repair, Erdogan stressed
