Protesters tell Anadolu Agency about their march from New York to Washington

WASHINGTON (A.A) – November 23, 2011 – Wall Street protesters completed their 14-day march from New York to Washington despite cold and rainy weather.
The protesters walked over 400 kilometers in 14 days and arrived in capital Washington.
Speaking to AA correspondent, protesters said that they were sometimes welcomed and praised in some cities, while humiliated and responded unfriendly in some other cities.
Some people offered food and a place to sleep and made donations to us during our journey, said the protesters, adding that some people carried their stuff by car which made their journey more comfortable.
People acted unfriendly and yelled harshly at us in cities like Baltimore, said the protesters.
It is now uncertain what the protesters will do next.
Some will stay in the capital for a few more days and participate in protests, some will return to Zuccotti Park by bus, and some others will take a break and go back their home for Thanksgiving.
Meanwhile some protesters think to walk to Miami and continue their protest.
Occupy Wall Street (OWS) is an ongoing series of demonstrations initiated by the Canadian activist group Adbusters which began September 17, 2011 in Zuccotti Park of New York city's Wall Street financial district.
The protests are against social and economic inequality, high unemployment, greed, as well as corruption, and the undue influence of corporations—particularly that of the financial services sector—on government.
The protesters' slogan "We are the 99%" refers to the growing difference in wealth in the U.S. between the wealthiest 1% and the rest of the population.
