Participation of Iranians at Milan Handicrafts Fair
London, IRNA – Iranian handicrafts artists participated at the 26th Milan Handicrafts Fair in Italy.
Some 45 Iranian artists showcase their handicraft products in 40 exhibition pavilions from December 3-1.
The Milan fair is one of the biggest international handicrafts exhibitions, which is held in Europe ahead of Christmas and the New Year.
Handicrafts exhibitions in Florence and Milan as well as HOMI Milano are among the most important expos, which are held at the international level yearly.
Following the spread of COVID-19, restrictions affected the Milan Handicrafts Fair for about two years, but this year’s exhibition is being held with a new record of viewers.
Some 600k viewers visited the previous expo last year and this year's event is expected to attract more than 1.5 million spectators because the number of viewers reached 500k people in the first five days.
Representatives from 80 countries take part in the exhibition and every country is allowed to have its own pavilion to showcase its traditional arts and music and introduce its cuisine.
Iran’s Cultural Attaché in Italy Mohammad Taghi Amini traveled to Milan on Tuesday in order to inspect the Iranian pavilion at the exhibition.
