Minister says Turkish citizens in France should join elections in France

ANKARA (A.A) - Turkey's European Union (EU) minister and chief negotiator said on Tuesday that Turkish citizens living in France should cast vote in French elections. Egemen Bagis said it was important for Turkish citizens living in France to become esteemed individuals in that country and cast their votes in the elections. "For me, it is important for Turkish citizens to make French politicians feel their political power," Bagis said during his meeting with Bilkay Oney, the integration minister of Germany's Baden Wurttemberg state, in Ankara. Bagis also said integration of Turkish citizens living in Europe to the countries they were living would contribute to Turkey's EU membership bid as well as Turkey's image.
