Babacan says world will see outcome of deficiencies of political leadership in Europe more in coming days

CANNES (A.A) - Turkey's deputy prime minister said on Friday that the world would see outcome of deficiencies of political leadership in Europe more and more in coming days. Ali Babacan said that political stability was one of the main problems in European countries, whose economies had stagnated. "Let me clearly say that if a government enjoying a stability like that in Turkey is in Italy or in France today, it can solve problems in a few months," Babacan said on the sidelines of an international real estate and retail fair in Cannes, France. Babacan said there was a serious lack of political will in Europe, and it was impossible to solve problems if every country only paid attention to their national interests. The minister said countries should feel more responsibility about global economy, and global problems would grow if steps were not taken on time.  Babacan also said German and Italian companies were seeking partners, which could be a great opportunity for Turkish firms.
