President of International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation meet with Kyrgyz Minister

Baku, April 4, AZERTAC President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva has met with Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan Azamat Zhamankulov. Gunay Afandiyeva stressed that the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation will contribute to strengthening ties between the member countries of the organization, promoting the ancient cultural and spiritual values of the Turkic peoples in the international arena, as well as solidarity of the Turkic world. Gunay Afandiyeva spoke about the projects implemented by the Foundation for the promotion of the cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan. The President of the Foundation noted the importance of further expanding existing partnerships with Kyrgyzstan as one of the founding states of the organization. Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan Azamat Zhamankulov, expressed high appreciation of the activities of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation on the preservation, study of the rich history and culture of the Turkic peoples, as well as strengthening unity between them, remarking that he attaches special importance to cooperation with the organization. The Minister stated that he considers the efforts of the Foundation on the presentation of the work of the prominent Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov worthy of appreciation. He also invited the President of the Foundation to pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan. The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on the prospects for further cooperation between the parties.
