Zhaparov expresses condolences to Tokayev over wildfire victims in Kazakhstan

Bishkek, June 12, 2023. / Kabar /. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov sent a condolence message to President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in connection with the loss of life as a result of forest fires in the east of the country.

“Dear Kassym-Zhomart Kemelevich, on behalf of the entire Kyrgyz people and on my own behalf, I offer my deepest condolences in connection with the loss of life as a result of forest fires raging in eastern Kazakhstan. Sharing the pain and bitterness of an irreparable loss, I ask you to convey sincere words of support to the families and friends of the dead Kazakhstanis and a speedy recovery to all the victims,” Zhaparov said in a telegram.

14 foresters died in the wildfires in Abai region. 316 people were evacuated to temporary shelters.
