Turkish stock exchange drops 2,000 points since beginning of day

ISTANBUL (A.A) - July 21, 2011 - The Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE) dropped about 2,000 points since the main index opened on Thursday.
ISE National-100 index fell around 2,000 points and dropped below 60,000 points on Thursday.
Shares lost more than 3 percent in value.
Currently, the index is floating around 59,600 points. 
The last time the index fell to this level was on June 16, 2001.
ISE National-100 index opened the morning session at 61,842.65 points on Thursday.
