Turkish interior minister to visit St. Petersburg

MOSCOW (A.A) Feb 11 - Turkish Interior Minister Besir Atalay proceeded from Moscow to St. Petersburg on Friday.
Atalay is currently in Russia at an invitation by Russian Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev.
Atalay visited a special training center of Russian Interior Ministry in Moscow, and then proceeded to St. Petersburg where he will meet officials to discuss city security and transportation safety.
Turkish delegation led by Atalay will depart from St. Petersburg for Turkey on Saturday.
During Thursday's meetings between Turkish and Russian delegations, cooperation in security and fight against illicit drug trafficking as well as deepening the cooperation between Turkish and Russian interior ministries were discussed.
The officials also took up fight against terrorism, prevention of extremism, exchange of intelligence, training of police officers and student exchange in police academies.
