Turkish energy minister hopeful about prospects of striking oil in Black Sea
ANKARA (A.A) - Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz welcomed the deal struck between U.S. Exxon Mobil and Russian Rosneft for oil exploration in the Black Sea.
Yildiz told AA on Friday that the deal struck between the two world oil giants was a gain for the Black Sea.
He said Exxon Mobil had a new oil platform in South Korea, which was on its way to Turkey right now. He said the new platform was expected to reach Turkey in March.
"Exxon Mobile believes there is oil in the Black Sea. This hope inspiring for Turkey," said Yildiz.
