Turkish companies could buy European ones in next five years, Caglayan says

BURSA (A.A) Feb 10 - Turkish State Minister Zafer Caglayan said Thursday that, in the next five years, 1,700,000 companies in Europe face the possibility of closure as there was no second generation.
Speaking at a press conference in north-western province of Bursa, Caglayan said that Turkish companies could buy the European ones facing closure in the next five years.
We are working extensively so that Turkish companies could buy those European companies without a second generation, Caglayan stressed.
I have been in Bursa for the past two days listening to the problems of the business community and their demands from the Turkish government, Caglayan said.
As the government, we have brought the Turkish economy to a point that was unimagined eight years ago. Yet we find the progress as not enough. We will continue to work to further develop the Turkish economy, Caglayan noted.
We have made long term plans so that Turkey becomes one of the 10 biggest economies of the world in 2023, the year when we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Republic of Turkey, Caglayan also said.
