BELGRADE (A.A) - 22.02.2011 - Turkish and Serbian businesspeople gathered at a business forum meeting on Tuesday in Serbia's capital, Belgrade.
Around 200 businesspeople from 46 companies met to devise business opportunities in the fields such as furniture, textiles, food, automotive, construction, telecommunication and industrial glass.
The forum was co-hosted by Belgrade Chamber of Commerce and the Serbian International Trade Organization.
Speaking at the forum meeting, Turkey's Ambassador in Belgrade Ali Riza Colak said Turkey's growing economy offered lucrative opportunities for Serbian businesspeople, adding Serbian economy also presented important potentials for Turkish investors.
Also speaking at the meeting, Belgrade Chamber of Commerce Secretary General Ivana Zelijkovic underlined the importance of a free trade agreement between Turkey and Serbia that entered into force last September.
"This agreement is a great opportunity for Serbian exporters to penetrate into the great Turkish market of 75 million," she said.
