Turkey believes Egypt will get out of turmoil stronger

BATUMI (A.A) - 11.02.2011 - Turkey's foreign minister said on Friday that he believed Egypt would get out of the political turmoil in a stronger way.
Ahmet Davutoglu said Egypt was a friend of Turkey, and important neighbor, and one of the backbone of regional stability.
"It is important for not only Egypt but also for the entire region to get normalized as soon as possible and to undergo a transition process which will take demands of the nation into consideration," Davutoglu told reporters in Batumi.
Davutoglu said Turkey and other regional countries were concerned about the tension in Egypt, and he had a comprehensive talk with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Thursday.
"As you know, my Egyptian counterpart wrote me a letter, and I sent a response in which I expressed my belief that Egypt would get out of the turmoil in a stronger way," he said.
Davutoglu said however, demands of nation should be taken into consideration, an action plan should be activated and a normalization and transition process schedule should be implemented.
The minister hoped Egypt would take those steps as soon as possible, and the country would reach stability, peace and welfare. 
Number of people have died in protests since January 25, aimed at ending Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's 30-years of rule.
