Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan travel agencies are plannig to hold joint tours

Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan travel agencies are planning to hold joint tours. This proposal is being discussed at an intergovernmental level. Development of tourist potential is a priority state goal for the Central Asian countries. For example, this year Kyrgyzstan expects more than five million foreign tourists only in the Issyk-Kul Lake. A unique place, well-known for its healing properties, attracts residents from Kazakhstan, Russia and Uzbekistan. A hot mountain lake is considered as Kyrgyzstan’s property of and the pearl of Central Asia. After the Caspian Sea, the second largest salt lake in the world is famous for its beauty, warm sandy beaches and thermo mineral radon springs. Travelers are also attracted to hiking and horseback riding as well as excursions to holy places.
KAMIL RASHIDOV, UZBEK AMBASSADOR TO KYRGYZSTAN: - This gives an opportunity to learn about Kyrgyz culture and to get a treatment there. A foreign tourist, who arrives in Issyk-Kul, also visits Uzbekistan, particularly, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and other cities. We also welcome this and invite tourists. However, the main tourist event of the year in Kyrgyzstan will be the World Games of Nomads. The republic has already begun preparations for large-scale competitions. Organizers promise an epic spectacle. Representatives of more than 70 countries will compete in ethnic sports.
AZAMAT DZHAMANKULOV, HEAD OF DEPARTMENT UNDER KYRGYZ MINISTRY OF CULTURE, INFORMATION AND TOURISM: - Today, there is a preparation in all areas, specifically, culture, tourism, sports, infrastructure and so on. I expect that by September 2018 we will finish the full preparation and welcome guests at a very high level.
