Turkish athlete becomes champion in 400m event in Vienna
ERZURUM (A.A)- A Turkish athlete has become champion in 400m event at an indoor classic athletics championships in Vienna, Austria.
Mehmet Terzi, the chairperson of Turkey's Athletism Federation, told AA correspondent on Thursday that Turkish athlete Melis Redif came the champion in 400m women's event in the Indoor Classic Vienna Leichtatletic (athletics tournament) on Monday.
"Dudu Karakaya won silver medal in 1,500m women's event, whereas Izzet Safer became the silver medalist in 200m men's event," Terzi said.
Terzi also said Turkey would establish a relay race team for the European Athletics Indoor Championships to take place in Paris, France on March 4-6.
